Prophet Yunus As "Al-Anbiya; chapter 21: verse 87"
The story of the Prophet Yunus As
From Abdullah bin Mas'ud R.A that Rasulullah Sallallah 'allaihi wassalam said,
"At that time the Prophet Yunus' allaihi wassalam threatened his people with a torture, he told them that the punishment would fall for three days, causing a child to separate from his mother. Then the Nabai Yunus' allaihi wassalam came out of their village, asking for protection from Allah and doing istigfar. Then God was pleased to endure His torment.
Yunus' allaihi wassalam went, waiting for the punishment to fall, but it turned out that the punishment he was threatening did not come. At that time an agreement applies, that whoever lies and cannot present information as evidence, then he will be killed. Finally, Jonah left his people in anger. So that they meet the passengers of a ship. They brought along the Prophet Yunus' allaihi wassalam and recognized him.
However, as soon as Prophet Yunus got into the ship, the ship immediately tilted, tilted right and left. Then there was one of the ship's passengers asked, 'Why is the ship you are traveling on like this?' The passengers answered, 'We don't understand the cause.' The person said, 'But I know what the cause is, that is among the passengers of this ship. who is disobedient to his Lord, meanwhile By Allah, this ship can not run calmly until the person who is disobedient you drown in the sea. '
The passengers of the ship said, 'By Allah, if you, O Prophet of Allah are to be thrown, then we will not do it.' Prophet Yunus said, 'Then there is a lottery, whoever gets the lottery is the one who must be cast!' They also raffled and fell on the name Yunus' allaihi wassalam. The raffle was held 3 times, and the name that came out was always Yunus' allaihi wassalam.
So the Prophet Jonah was thrown into the sea, and Allah has ordered the whale to swallow him. So that when the Prophet Yunus was thrown, the whale immediately swallowed and brought to the bottom of the earth. Then the Prophet Yunus heard his prayer beads of sand.
"Then he pursued in a very dark state: That there is no God who has the right to be worshiped but You, Glory be to You, in fact I am one of the wrongdoers." (Al-Anbiya; chapter 21: verse 87)
The three kinds of darkness are: the darkness in the belly of the fish, the darkness of the sea and the darkness of the night.
"If he does not immediately get the favor of his Lord, he really will be dumped into a barren land in a state of being torn apart." (Al-Qalam; surah 68: verse 49).
Abdullah bi Mas'ud said, "He is likened to a child that sheds his hair. Then we grew for him a tree of the type of pumpkin. (Ash-Shaffat; surah 37: verse 146).
Prophet Yunus used to take shelter in the tree and pick the fruit, but then the tree was dry. He cried because the tree was dry. Then Allah revealed to him, 'Do you cry just because a tree is about to dry up? Why don't you cry over 100,000 or so humans? Do you want to get used to them? '

Then the Prophet Yunus came out, suddenly he met a male slave who was herding goats. Prophet Yunus asked, 'Where are you from?' The slave replied, 'From the people of Prophet Yunus. Prophet Yunus advised, if you go home, tell me that you have met me, Prophet Yunus. '
The slave said, if it is true that you are the Prophet Yunus, of course you will know that anyone who lies while he has no evidence will be killed, who will be a witness for me later? ' 'Then the Prophet Yunus said to both of them,' If later this slave comes to you again, then bear witness for him. The two of them answered, "Yes."
The male slave went home to his people, he had several brothers. Then he came to Raa and said, "Verily I have met the Prophet Yunus, he sends greetings to you." Then the king ordered to kill the slave.
The aide said, 'He has proof. The king said, then bring the proof! Then said to the two of them, 'I swear by Allah, did Jonah ever ask you two to be witnesses against me? He replied, "Yes."
The people came home in amazement saying, The tree and the ground are true witnesses. Then they went to the king to tell what they had witnessed. Then the king shook the slave's hand and ordered him to sit in his palace. Then the slave ruled for 40 years.
