The Test of Patience of Prophet Musa, the slave of Khidhr "Kahf"
Prophet Musa Seeks Knowledge
Prophet Musa met Khidhr
And (remember) when Moses said to his disciple "I will not stop (walk) before coming to the meeting of the two seas; or I will walk for many years". So when they came to the meeting of the two seas, they were negligent about the fish, and the fish jumped to take their way into the sea.
So when they walked farther, Moses said to his disciple, "Bring our food hither; Surely we are tired because of our journey." The disciple replied: "Do you know when we were looking for shelter in the rock earlier, Then Verily I forgot (told about) the fish and was not the one who forgot me to tell it unless the devil and the fish took their way to the sea in a very strange way".
Musa said: "That (place) we are looking for". then both of them returned, following in their original footsteps. Then they met a servant among Our servants, whom We gave him mercy from Our side, and whom We taught him knowledge from Our side.
Musa said to Khidhr: "Can I follow you so that you teach me the correct knowledge among the sciences that have been taught to you?" He replied: "Surely you can never be patient with me. And how can you be patient with something, for which you do not have sufficient knowledge about it?"
Musa said: "God willing, you will find me as a patient person, and I will not oppose you in any business".
He said: "If you follow me, then do not ask me about anything, until I myself explain it to you." (Al-Kahf; surah 18: verses 60-70)
"According to the expert commentators, the disciples of the Prophet Musa a.s. it is Yusya 'bin Nun. " "According to my expert commentator here is Khidhr, and what is meant by grace here is revelation and prophecy. while what is meant by knowledge is the knowledge of the unseen. "
Khidhr Leaks Boat
So both of them walked, until when they got into the boat and Khidhr pierced it. Moses said: "Why did you pierce the boat as a result you drowned the occupants?" Surely you have done something terrible wrong. He (Khidhr) said: "Didn't I say:" Verily, you will never be patient with me. "
Musa said: "Do not punish me for my forgetfulness and do not burden me with any difficulty in my business". (Al-Kahf; surah 18: verses 71-73)
Khidhr Kills a Child
So both went on; until when the two of them met a child, Khidhr killed him. Moses said: "Why did you kill a clean soul, not because He killed someone else? Surely you have done something that is wrong".
Khidhr said: "Did not I tell you, that You will not be able to be patient with me?"
Musa said: "If I ask you about something after this, then do not allow me to be with you anymore, Behold, you are patient enough to accept my reasons." (Al-Kahf; surah 18: verses 74-76)

Khidhr Repairing the walls of the House
So they both walked; until when both of them came to the inhabitants of a country, they asked to be entertained by the inhabitants of that country, but the inhabitants of that country did not want to entertain them, then both of them found in that country the walls of the house were almost collapsed, So Khidhr erected the wall. Moses said: "If you want, surely you can ask a reward for it". (Al-Kahf; surah 18: verse 77)
The Wisdom of Khidhr's Actions
Khidhr said: "This is the separation between me and you; someday I will tell you the purpose of the deeds for which you cannot wait.
The ark belonged to the poor who worked in the sea, and I aimed to destroy the ark, because before them was a king who took every ark.
And as for that young man, both of them are believers, and We are afraid that He will push both of his parents into heresy and disbelief. And We want their Lord to replace them with another child who is more pure than that child and more deeply affectionate (to the mother and father).
As for the walls of the house belonged to the two orphans of the city, and under it were the treasures of the two of them, and their father was a pious person. Your Lord wills that they should come to maturity and take out their savings, as a gift from your Lord; and it's not that I did it of my own accord. thus it is the goal of actions that you cannot wait for him ". (Al-Kahf; chapter 18: verses 78-82)
